Creo que no se había hablado por aquí (sino...¡Admins!) y lo he vuelto a ver en Beasts of War

Immortal: Dark Age Fantasy.



Es un juego de escaramuzas en la Edad Oscura en el que tu banda puede alinearse con las fuerzas del Bien o del Mal y metes demonios, ángeles y otras criaturas. Vamos como si mezclas el Of Gods and Mortals con SAGA y un toque de fantasía. A mi lo de meter Romano-Británicos con demonios me convence  :o Está ambientado en Britania en el siglo V, era pre-Vikingos, aunque parece que se pueden meter también (incluso bandas de la Antigüedad) via la facción de Tribes of the Pennines. De todas formas en esa época los Sajones no eran maricomplejines Anglo-Sajones sino invasores paganos molones  :vik

Les quedan unas 50 horas y les faltan 1.000 libras para sacar el libro en edición física. El nivel básico de aportación entiendo que es el de 20 libras e incluye reglamento de tapa dura a color de 120+ páginas, además de versión PDF y parece que gastos de envíos gratuitos (esperan sacarlo en Septiembre). Puedes usar las miniaturas que quieras. Las minis de fantasía de West Wind que han escogido para las fotos me dejan un poco meeeehhh...

How to Play the Game

-15-20 minis per side, all in small units from 4-12 models

-Played out on a 4x4 board

-Six Nations to choose from

-Each nation has its own National Characteristic and scouting level

-Games vary from the humble Raid Scenario, using a handful of models and taking under an hour to play, to the Battle Royal scenario which can take up to around 2 hours to play.

-Games all have a specific turn allowance, this is to keep the games objective based which give a sense of urgency to gameplay.

-Faith – Human units and Hero’s bring Faith to the battlefield, the Immortal then holds all of the Faith, and humans can draw it from the Immortal to increase battle readiness. Faith is also used by the Immortals to summon Spiritual Beings onto the battlefield. Be aware if you exhaust your faith pool during a game, all your Spiritual Beings on the table are sucked back into the void, leaving the Humans to fight it out. This system has huge tactical implications.

-Each Nations Scouting Level adds a bonus to the turn initiative. You will find the lighter armed forces like the Picts and Welsh will always have the jump on heavier forces like the Saxons and Romans. Whoever wins the initiative gets to move and shoot with all their units first, the opponent then takes his turn. Combat is played out at the end of the turn.

-Full Warbands of humans may be gathered or full Warbands of spiritual creatures, or even mix and match to your heart’s content (within Nation guidelines of course).

-Six specialist units, one for each nation include Roman Knights and Welsh Druids.

-Because there are a lot of variations in the army compositions, selection of 10 Immortals, Hero customisation and scenario implications, no two games are ever the same.

-Choose to be aligned to the forces of Good in one game, then align yourself to the forces of Evil the next game using the same human models. All you need to do is change out your Immortal model and you have two forces to play with.

Pues al final no han conseguido sacarlo.

Dicen que volverán a intentarlo, que no se veían muy duchos en estos temas de promoción y kickstarteo, que intentarán bajar el precio final (un poco alto creo yo) y mientras lo sacarán posiblemente en PDF.

Unfortunately we have not met our funding target for Immortal, I feel this is due to mainly my lack of experience and skills in running a kickstarter. But fear not we have a cunning plan.

We are now looking at where we can as a company, improve on marketing, promotion and product. At the moment we plan to re-run this again but a whole lot slicker. New and improved gameplay videos, bat reps, some official minis and pledges for gaming groups. Also we are looking at ways to reduce the funding goal and maybe going softback, or A5 size.

This has been an incredibly exciting experience for us and we have learned at an astounding rate on how to run a campaign. We thank every backer that has supported us, this has truly been a coming together of gamers from all across the world.

We have listened to posts on forums and also on here in your comments. Immortal will become a reality, what we will do is get it out for now via PDF, to keep up to date on all stuff Broken Spirit, like our Facebook page or pop along to our website (which still needs updating, the web guy is in hospital at the moment).
